|
The Practice was founded at Wisteria House in 1989, and moved to
Oakley Street in 1994. It aims to provide comprehensive health
care both for treatment of individuals and families, and for the
prevention of illness.
Surgery opening hours - 8.00am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday
The surgery is closed overnight at week-ends and bank holidays
but we provide 24 hour emergency cover using Night Doctor on 020
8741 2982.
Making an appointment
Consultations are by appointment and can be made between 8.30am
and 5.30pm by telephoning the practice or by using the web
form under the appointments section. Consultations
generally last 30 minutes, apart from certain situations such as
health screens, full medicals and psychological assessments,
when a double appointment could be required.
Patients, especially those living abroad or in the country can
request appointments by e-mail or fax.
Health screening
The practice offers annual comprehensive screening to every
patient both adults and children. The health check
includes a comprehensive assessment of the individuals physical
and mental health with appropriate investigations, reports and
follow-up.
Referrals
The practice has a most comprehensive network of specialists in
both orthodox and complementary medicine in London and
Internationally, available at very short notice.
Travel vaccinations

The practice offers a full travel vaccination and advice service
with the latest information from MASTA (Medical Advisory
Services for Travellers Abroad).
Practice Policy
The practice does not hold special clinics for asthma,
diabetes or hypertension as these issues are dealt with during
routine consultations. We have an active policy to recall
all patients with a chronic condition in accordance with
accepted disease surveillance protocol.
Results of Investigations
Most results are received within 24-48 hours. The
patient will be informed by telephone if the result is
abnormal. A copy of all the test results is mailed to the
patient.
Repeat Prescriptions
Patients on regular medication requiring repeat
prescriptions may telephone, post, fax or e-mail
a request. Please make requests before mid-day so that
prescriptions can be posted first class in the lunch hour to
ensure arrival by the next day.
Do not wait until medication has actually
run out.
Please note that faxed prescriptions are not legal.
Telephoning a prescription through to a pharmacy is only carried
out in exceptional circumstances when Dr Susan makes the judgment
that this is essential.
Emergencies and out of hours
Night Doctor visit patients at home or work 24 hours a
day, including weekends and public holidays. The clinical
details of the encounter are faxed to the practice and are
followed up by telephone.
Complaints
The practice endeavours to deliver the very best medical care
at all times. We should like to hear from patients who
believe we have not fulfilled this promise and welcome suggestions
to improve practice communications and procedures.
